Individuals in Community

The individuality in this world presents as an essential component of its being, the constant alteration produced by effects alien to itself. Each of these is reflected in the others and thus directs its next movement. Human beings, societies, cities, countries, continents. flora, fauna, planet. Time, space. These individuals have been, and are being, modified by themselves, by their infinite parts that make up the world, and by the constant arbitrary action of external agents. Everyone is everywhere, and everything is everything. Each thing is all things.

How will we live together?

What is our footprint that impacts on the future? This is the contemporary vision, aware of the present and its eternal impact on the future. Every decision, every operation and its transcendence, one particle moves the other. The system unfolds, changes, is ephemeral and its nature unstable. The Argentine vision is the deep reflection on the great territory, its immensity and variety from the different aspects of study. A society reflected in this characteristic, a young collective history, its immigrant past, its permeability of borders and its loyalty to its humanity.

Central Scale

Since the foundation of Buenos Aires in XVI, through the different episodes in the path of the conformation of the Republic, and in the present, the condition of centrality in our territory has fulfilled a fundamental axis, it has directed in a categorical way the development of our country. Different artistic/architectural works and expressions have been nuanced by the tension between the center and the periphery. Centrality is a fundamental condition for understanding historical development. A latent and tense condition that contains in itself the power to be the illuminating as well as precise path, in order to foresee and act in future times.

The linear sequences between the low-scale neighborhood and the dense center, the towns and the metropolis, the productive regions and offices, are the form of the testimony of a social evolution in relation to the territory. The city of Buenos Aires, focusing on the downtown area, is the national scenario of labor, educational and cultural opportunities. The condition of approaching this neuralgic point has occurred in infinite types of land appropriation.

Thus, saturated transport arteries, overpopulation, overcrowding, and pollution emerge as negative results of an imminent and necessary densification, lacking in content in relation to integration, sustainability, and mobility, all part of a context of equal rights. Are there other forms of programmed density? Is there a forward-looking and general vision of our country? Is there another way of living together?
